This is quite the shock, Cagesiders, but at tonight's (Jan. 28, 2014) SmackDown taping in Toledo, Ohio, two qualifying matches took place to determine the final two participants in the Elimination Chamber main event match joining Randy Orton, John Cena, Sheamus, and Daniel Bryan.
The two matches were:
1. Antonio Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler
2. Jack Swagger vs. Christian
The winners were:
1. Antonio Cesaro
2. Christian
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that means Antonio Cesaro will be in the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE world heavyweight championship on Sun., Feb. 23, 2014, at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This is an interesting decision if only because it means Batista and Brock Lesnar have been left out, which could mean they're working together at the show, or it could mean nothing and they're both being saved for WrestleMania 30, where they are rumored for matches against Randy Orton and Undertaker, respectively.
Still, this one is shocking.
Your thoughts?
